75 percent done with my first novel!

It's a non-money goal, I know, but a life goal nonetheless. Today I hit 75,000 words and officially 75 percent finished with my first novel!

    Congrats on keeping going. I tried NaNoWriMo but my novel was so awful I gave up after 12 days and 22,000 words

    My sisters are both writers. One of them did the novel in a month first draft. Now she needs to edit it. Good for you, congratulations!

    I am using a handy book that was designed for Book in a Month people, but realistically, with two kids, one month wasn't going to cut it. It's been about 3 months, but it's actually fun. I hope to have my first draft done in another month, then I'm taking a break, and then revising. When it's good enough I'll start looking for an agent!

    Interesting article that may or may not be relevant to you. The trend is going towards e-book readers of some kind. It's good to know how to e-publish, especially if you can do it on your own.

    I'm going to try the traditional route first, then the Amazon program for new authors, and then self-publishing.
