Fat Club

I officially signed up for Fat Club, the intense 6-week weight loss and exercise program at the Y. It starts Saturday morning.

In 6 weeks, here is the minimum we have to do:
Attend 13 1-hour group work outs
Attend 3 1-hour educational workshops
Attend 5 1-hour workout classes specified by the program (1 yoga, 1 pilates, 1 water aerobics, etc.)
Attend 5 1-hour classes of our choice
Have 6 personal training sessions ( 1 per week)
Meet with the dietician

Keep a daily food diary.

Sounds like I am going to be super busy, but I'm hoping to drop at least 10 pounds. Whoever drops the highest percentage of body weight wins $200. Another incentive: making my money back!

    Haha: Did you consider wearing your lead underwear so that your initial weigh in could be really high? You could go home and shed 15% of your weight just by changing your undies. $200 guaranteed! Wink

    Joan - why didn't I think of that? Of course they do the tape measure and maybe do the pinch test along with the weigh-in, so the lead underwear gets discovered.

    thrift-o-rama: If you have a food scale, that can be helpful to your food diary. And you are going to be busy - in those 6 weeks you'll have to complete 29 hrs of moderate/intense activity, or about 5 hrs/week. That's a gym rat schedule!

    I know it will be tough, but I have to lose the baby weight. Plus, I only have to make it through 6 weeks!

    I do know a guy who cheated at the last weigh in. Bad sportsmanship!

    I can probably guarantee that most people will atleast drink a litre of water before they go in!(adds a kilo of weight, or 2.2 pounds). Big Grin Good luck. Sounds like a fantastic and instense plan. sometimes those are the best, they are all you will need for a kick to get going. can't wait to read about your progress!
