   I'd say yes-- but why the rush to close out the account after you re-coop the $25? I'm a very happy ING customer. Although their interest rate is lower than some, the $25 new account bonus + the $10 bonus you can earn for referring new customers more than makes up for it. Happy saving!

   Well, I already have an Emigrant Direct account that I'm pretty happy with, so I guess I don't really need another savings account. I try to keep my financial life simple and do business with as few companies as possible. That was my thinking...

   It is a 10% return on holding 250$ somewhere for 30 days; 25$ for your Tiki bar. As my grandpa would say, its better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. Its a pretty long standing offer - I would read the fine print at the time you sign up just to make sure its 30 days. And you should be able to move the $ back to Emigrant electronically.
   
   FYI - Jeffrey (moderator at this site) used to "sell" ING referrals. He would give you a list of invitees, you'd ask ING to invite them, for every depositor that put in 250$ for 30 days, ING would credit your account 10$, and you'd split the bonus with Jeffrey.

   I would rather have $25 than a poke in the eye! I think I might go ahead and check it out. I may leave the account open a while. Who knows? Maybe I'll like it better than Emigrant!

   I say yes as well, I actually like ING and have been banking with them for about two years

   I bit the bullet and opened the account. This is the first time I've done something like this just for the reward. eek!
