When do appliances go on sale?

I've been waiting around to order my new cooktop from a big box store. I want to wait until there is a sale. But things are getting desperate. My current cooktop alal 1957 is down to 1 and a half working burners. I can't wait much longer, especially considering special order takes 21 days.

When do these things go on sale? I am hoping President's Day is the answer!!

    I think I saw a Lowes' ad, or Home Depot, today that had 10% off all appliances. Of course, I think there is a new rebate program starting on appliances on March 1st. I'll let you google it for more info! Good luck.

    I'm not sure the federal rebate program applies to stoves and cooktops, because there is no Energy Star rating for them...

    Ask Home Depot when they will be putting their floor models on sale. My mom recently got a cooktop for about half price.

    The only store that sells the cooktop we want is Menard's and it's special order only. Home Depot and Lowe's have tons of electric, but we need gas, and I didn't see any floor models that would work for us. I called Menard's and they didn't have any info on upcoming sales.
