I'm a freelance journalist and crafter who dreams of starting my own business-- a hometown Tiki bar. I am a former New Orleans Bourbon Street bartender.

The tiki challenge: I must find creative new revenue streams, apart from my career.

Well, there is a 90 percent chance hubby and I have another Bean on the way. I still have to go to my first doctor visit to make sure it's developing OK.

But, talk about motivation to meet those savings goals. I just hope we have enough money to save for two college educations, and all the other things that come along with childhood. Supporting two kids seems so adult. And scary.

We did originally plan to have two kids. This one is just coming along sooner than expected. I guess it's good, because I still have all of the Bean's old clothes, swings, toys, etc. so I won't have to spend money on supplies!

But, I have no idea how I will manage two tiny, needy people at home. I hope that at some point the beans will be able to play with and entertain each other, so I can have some peace, but that might just be another lie grandparents tell you to get you to have more!

Congratulations!!

My kids at 8 and 12 do play together. They are three years apart...so it took awhile to get to the let play together stage. It does happen evenutally!

Congrats! My two are 5 years apart and I don't recommend it. It was great until the youngest hit 5 and all they do is fight now, but they do get along eventually.

And mine do play together.. but it isn't much of a break (she took my toy, he called me stinky)

But then sometimes they are cute teaching each other or helping.

YAY! And the spacing that I have between them are 11 months, three years, two years, 1.8 years. It doesn't much matter: each birth order spacings have their own issues. Take care!

congratulations! my younger brother and sister were born less than a year apart. to tell you the truth, they hated each other between the ages of 4-12, but now they are teenagers they are the closest friends you will find. but - it's different for everyone.
