$138 on groceries today. Eek

I spent $138 on groceries today, mostly so I have meals to cook for the New Orleans folks who are camping out here until Gustav is gone. They'll be here about a week. This is going to be a budget buster, but I feel like there isn't much I can do about it.

I am cooking a spinach eggplant lasagna, sweet corn from the farmer's market, and grilling chicken out on the grill. I also have fixins for a gourmet spinach salad.

    I think that's so great that you're helping out people who have evacuated to your area. Everything sounds absolutely delicious.

    Sorry to hear that this is a budget buster for you but I am a believer in "What goes around, comes around" so some time, some where, you have good kharma headed in your direction.

    I'm not too concerned. I had just started a new grocery challenge to lower my bill by 25 percent, and I am not sure if I can make it!
